Information for public housing tenants
Homes Tasmania tenants can find information here about becoming a tenant, your rent, living conditions and your rights and responsibilities as a tenant.
If your tenancy is managed by a community housing provider, you will need to contact them with any questions you have because they may have different policies.
If you are Homes Tasmania tenant and would like to transfer to another property, contact Homes Tasmania to talk about your situation.
After you have spoken to Homes Tasmania and they agree that you may need a transfer, you will then need to be assessed by Housing Connect.
After you have been assessed you will receive a letter from Housing Connect letting you know the outcome of your transfer request.
