Community housing
Community housing is a social housing option for Tasmanians on low incomes. They manage over half of all social housing in Tasmania.
If you are looking for social housing, think about applying for both community and public housing (Homes Tasmania tenancy services) to increase your opportunities for housing.
This includes giving consent to share your information with all the social housing providers who have homes in all the suburbs where you want to live.
Community housing providers also manage their own properties in other suburbs statewide.
You can find out which suburbs have community housing in the list below.
To make an application for social housing you will need to go to Housing Connect.
