The November Dashboard demonstrates Homes Tasmania’s ongoing action to improve the housing system with a total of 4 067 homes completed to date, meaning we are over 40 per cent of the way to the target of 10 000 social and affordable homes by 2032. There are a further 656 homes in the pipeline of works.

There were 89 new homes delivered in November, including 46 new social housing properties and six units of crisis accommodation at McCombe House.

Included in this overall figure were the completion of 10 social housing units in Scottsdale which were delivered in partnership with Loreto Community Housing (formerly known as Centacare Evolve Housing) and have been used to house applicants from the Housing Register.

Homes Tasmania provided $4.2 million in loan funding to the units, which are managed by Loreto Community Housing (LCH).

LCH is Tasmania’s largest provider of community housing and works to alleviate housing stress by delivering attainable homes, and to develop opportunities to further contribute to individual, family, and community wellbeing.

All homes completed in November are tenanted or in the process of being tenanted, providing secure and affordable homes ahead of the holiday season for families on the Housing Register.
