Private rental incentives
Homes Tasmania is creating more affordable private rental opportunities with more incentives for Tasmanian property owners.
The Private Rental Incentives (PRI) program is designed for Tasmanians having difficulty accessing private rentals in today’s strong property market.
Owners are incentivised to make their properties available for affordable rent to eligible households on low incomes and with low or no support needs.
This includes tenancy and property management provided fee-free by Centacare Evolve Housing (CEH), a registered and experienced statewide property manager.
Expression of interest
Homes Tasmania is expanding the number of homes in the program by an additional 200 affordable rental properties under this program over the next two years.
We are seeking expressions of interest from property owners who would like to be part of the expanded program by supplying properties that are close to major urban centres, transport services and amenities.
